Mechanism
How PE-g-MAH Works
A polyethylene-compatible backbone stays with the polyolefin phase, while maleic anhydride functionality improves interaction at the filler interface.
Without compatibilizer
Filler agglomeration, weak interfacial adhesion, unstable stress transfer, and higher risk of elongation loss.
With PE-g-MAH
Improved filler wetting, more stable interfacial interaction, better stress transfer, and a broader formulation optimization window.
